I am an associate professor at the Wyss Academy for Nature at the University of Bern (Switzerland) and am affiliated with the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern (Switzerland). At the Wyss Academy, I lead the research team Environmental Governance and Global Development. I am also affiliated with the Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research (OCCR).
My research connects international political economy and environmental politics. I study how global economic and environmental changes distribute opportunities, costs, and political voice across social groups and countries, and how these inequalities shape public opinion, political participation, and support for policy.
I earned my PhD in Political Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich)’s Center for Comparative and International Studies and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University during the academic year 2018-19. Prior to my appointment in Bern, I was a senior lecturer at the School of Politics and International Relations at the Australian National University.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading and terrorizing family and friends with my culinary experiments.
